Christ Embassy attempts to break Guiness Book of World Record with BLW Christmas carol

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Believers Love World (aka Christ Embassy) made an official attempt to break the Guiness World Record for the largest chuch choir.

The current largest gospel choir according to the Guiness Book of World records “consists of 8,688 participants and was achieved by the Members Church of God International (Philippines), at the
Araneta Coliseum, Manila, Philippines, on 12 October 2015”.

The Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Christ Embassy held its Christmas Eve carol at the prestigious LoveWorld Conference Centre in Oregun parading many A-list Gospel Music stars and a mass choir of about 12,000 members.

Artists like Frank Edwards, Sinach, Eben, Joe Praize, the Rap Nation and a host of others performed several special songs during the course of the night. The carols however were rendered by a live Orchestra conducted by multi talented musician T-Sharp along with a mass choir who were dressed in diverse attires.

The members of the choir practically filled the auditorium only leaving a few seats for invited guests and other members of the church. The crowning part to an exceptional night of music and dance was when the Mass Choir rendered the world record breaking attempt song “You’re the Only One Like You” written by the Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who recently received doctorate degrees from his Alma Matter, Ambrose Alli University and another from the Benson Idahosa University.

The church hopes that the representatives of the Guiness Book of World Record after being satisfied that they met all the requirements would name their attempt as the new world record for the largest gospel choir. Representatives and auditors were seen at the entry and exit points of the venue taking a count of the choir members.
They were also seen at various sections within the hall performing their adjudicating duties. Pastor Chris and Christ Embassy with this record breaking attempt would be once again putting Nigeria on the world map positively.
